Lucy Jones says ‘Bridge is a club meeting every fortnight for ages from 11-18. As a regular attendant of the club, I think it is very beneficial for young people growing up and learning to communicate with teenagers of different ages. Since I`ve been going the Bridge I feel a lot more enthusiastic about visiting church as it is a fun time to talk to friends and play games and football. A Bridge session will start with an activity or two which can range from: Lego building to bingo, world record challenges (everyone`s favourite). Overall, Bridge sessions are always fun, chilled and a good place to talk about things bothering us’.

Matthew Thornborough says ‘The bridge is a social group for young people moving up into Senior School and those already there. It is run by two friendly people, who create different things for the teenagers each fortnight. Some examples include: World record attempts and Lego building contests. It is an amazing way to keep in touch with people who go to different secondary schools and maybe meet new people to befriend and play with. Near the end of the session, the teens play different ball games including capture the flag, dodge-ball and man-hunt and then we end the session. ‘The bridge is the highlight of my week, it is extremely good fun and enjoyable’.
