Hall Bookings & Community Groups

St Nicholas’ Church Hall is situated on Harlech Rd, Blundellsands, within 50 metres of the nearest bus stop and 5 minutes walk to Blundellsands & Crosby railway station.  The church has its own on-site parking or approximately 12 cars, including one disabled place.  A bike rack is located at the Harlech Road side of the church.

St Nicholas’ Church halls can offer several hire opportunities when they are not required for church purposes:-

Main Hall: 

A spacious area with wood-blocked floor and recently redecorated.  It seats over 100 people comfortably around tables or arranged in theatre style.  Includes a stage area with curtain and PA system. Suitable for playgroups, exercise classes, workshops, concerts and meetings.  Includes use of our recently refurbished kitchen, which holds the top hygiene rating.  Instanta boiler, kettle, microwave, oven available.  The approximate dimensions of the Main Hall are 14m x 11m.  See current users for MainHall -September 2019 timetable

Hire charges start at £25 per session for regular bookings (either morning, afternoon, evening) depending on length of let.  For non-regular bookings, the hourly rate is by negotiation.

Small Hall:

A multi-purpose hall with easy access to kitchen facilities, and own toilet facilities. Recently redecorated in a light and bright colour scheme, and with wood-blocked floor.  It is suitable for meetings, classes, and workshops. Hire charges start at £20 per session for regular bookings.  For non-regular bookings, the hourly rate is by negotiation.

Council Chamber:

Our smallest hall, wood-blocked floor with main area carpeted.  Off main lobby area. Suitable for meetings, classes and small workshops.  Seats up to 30 people. See current users for Council Chamber – September 2019 timetable

Children’s party hire: The main hall is available for use on weekend afternoons for two hour children’s parties at a cost of £50 from January 2018.  If you wish to arrange your own bouncy castle there is an additional charge of £10 towards extra electricity costs. Please Note: St Nicholas’ PCC requires any hirer using a bouncy castle to make their own insurance arrangements (by using a supplier with appropriate public indemnity insurance) and cannot be held liable for any injury or damage caused by its use.
